New stock for Savage MKII .22LR?

Okay guys, had my MKII for a few months now and can't bring myself to drill holes in the laminated stock...too nice...maybe. Any suggestions on a tactical/varmint stock would be nice. I can't seem to find anything online other that a guy in Chadron, NE that does the AICS stocks, but holy smokes 500-600 for a stock! I do like the AI stocks that are ambidextrious and I more prefer a pistol style grip as a Mcmillan has. Please send me some info! Thanks, Shawn

Savage just started making "man sized" .22's with a vertical pistol grip and fat fore end. Dunno if they sell just the stock.

Check out Wallis Forge. He does the same profile for the 10/22 and the Savage MKII. I don't own one yet, but it's on my list.
