OK, so obviously it's not finished yet, but I'm pretty excited about it so I want to show the before pictures. I'll add the after pictures in a couple months, hopefully.

Surgeon 591 receiver
Bartlein 1-11.25 twist, 24 inch MTU barrel, fluted
AICS 1.5 stock
Roedale brake
Jewell trigger

Still waiting on the trigger and then sending it off to GAP. It will be chambered 308. Only minor regret I have is going with a 24" barrel - kind of wishing I would have gone 22". I'm thinking GAP can take an inch off the muzzle end though and still be away from the flutes.

Also, I'm wondering if they could take an inch of the breach end as well. Any negatives to doing this?

Re: New Surgeon Build

The 308 pictured above is my first precision rifle build, but I got the bug so am doing a second soon as well, in 300 Win Mag.

The second will be a Surgeon XL receiver, Bartlein 26" 1-10.0 twist MTU fluted barrel, Badger FTE brake, Manners T4A stock, Jewell trigger. Should have the stock in less than two months, so this one won't be too far behind.
