Swarovski posted their press release today, so I can share it with you guys now.

They are calling it the ATX/STX line and it's a modular eyepiece design. Check it out, pretty neat.

Re: New Swarovski Spotting Scope Line

Wow, a 95mm objective lens option. Have you had the opportunity to look through one of those? Wondering how much better the resolution is vs the smaller models. Those things look spiffy.

When I first saw the "modular eyepiece" title, thought there might be a ranging reticle option.... Sure wish one of the "big boys" like Swarov, Zeiss or Leica would offer a ranging reticle eyepiece for their spotters.

Re: New Swarovski Spotting Scope Line

Zeiss has the hensoldt spotter 60 if you are looking for a high end spotter with a reticle.

The new modular systems have better lens coatings along with swarovision. Nice wide fields of view and great focal distances...6ft on the 65mm for the birders.

Quote from the press release..."With the SWAROVISION technology, they feature field flattener lenses to produce an image with razor-sharp clarity right up to the edge, without the need for constant refocusing. The HD lenses provide rich contrast, and
exceptional color fidelity. They offer a wide field of view, extended eye relief, and are complete with
SWAROVSKI OPTIK’s optimized specialty coatings, SWARODUR, SWAROTOP, and SWAROCLEAN."

I put up all the specs on the product pages. Just click on the product to check it out.

I'm going to sell off my atm80 to purchase the new system.

Re: New Swarovski Spotting Scope Line

Swarovski was at NorCal back in early Oct with this spotter and it was a seriously cool design.

The modular features were awesome and the digiscoping adapter was one of the easiest to use I have seen.

Now they just to get a reticle....

FWIW, the Vortex 30x reticle eyepiece fits the Swarovski ATM/STM and ATS/STS series scopes and works quite well. My sample of 1 shows subtentions to be right on.
