Hello all,

I want to learn to cerakote a rifle. Not professionally, but have seen some posts on other forums about people dabbling in it. Yet another way to enjoy my guns more... :)

I figured I'd start on some mags to get used to how it works.

This may have been covered. If so, please give me the link...but is there any place I can go to learn How To Cerakote a Gun? Like a 101 online class, video, educational string, etc.?

thanks,

Chris McCollum

i was checking out cerakote earlier tonight. it comes in paint cans. Gunkote comes in a spray can. You can buy it at Brownells. I have no idea about the application process except it can be air dried or oven dried. But you have to buy one or the other so make sure your doing your homework.

Cerakote is some strange stuff to apply and it can be picky and tricky. I strongly suggest you get some and practice before you go and attempt it on a high dollar rifle.

Be sure you get what you need as well. There is thermal cure "H" and air cure "C".
