the glass would depend on what you want to do with it and what your budget is, same story different rifle.
SMALLBORE SNIPER does really good with what he has on his, you can check out his posts on the .17

Since you'll probably only be shooting out to 100 yards max - a high quality piece of glass would be overkill.
Most go with a 3x9 and Bushnell makes a good mid-range tube. Personally I would not go with turrets, I like the idea of keeping my 22 simple.
