What is your intended use for the scope? PRS, benchrest, steel and target. Might get into hunting but highly unlikely with this rifle.

As of right now I've been looking at a few different scopes to put on the rifle. I have a primary arms on it for now just so I can shoot and get used to the gun. I'm considering the vortex viper hs-t 6-24. It's also been suggested to me to look at Athlon in the same range or looked for a used or refurbished vortex of a higher quality. I'm really new to optics unfortunately. Most of my shooting on rifles before this was lever action 30-30s and iron sighted AR-15s. So as I'm learning and researching I'm still unsure as to what direction to go. [h=1][/h]
This is a good deal that I cant believe is still going if you dont mind a mil dot reticle. Both of these are topping out at 15 power but I find that it is perfectly adequate for shooting out past your distances so within should be no problem. The occasional foray to 1k isnt going to be impossible and people do it with less all the time.
In that range youre going to find that the nicer glassed scopes dont have the external adjustments and those with the external adjustments are going to be a bit more crude so finding a nice blend is going to depend on your personal tastes.
