Rifle Scopes New to prs what scope?

I'd contact Scott at Liberty Optics about a Vortex AMG 6-24 w EBR-7B

The Gen 2 Vortex Razor 4.5-27 is a about $200--$400 less, but I think the AMG has a bit better glass, it weighs 10 oz. less, has essentially the same reticle, and, except for a German made reticle, is 100% manufactured in the USA.

I have a razor gen 2 and like it, less than your price range. However a deal on a kahles would be really nice! Or look at a zco for a little bit more, that’s what I’m saving for 👍
Kahles doesn’t offer much over the gen 2. Razor. They have horrible CA in the gen 2 and gen 3s I have been behind. Minox is a much better optic for a similar price.

Based on your price point, I’d look hard at either the Kahles(being on sale) or the Razor. If you go Razor Gen2 get the EBR7c reticle. I’d suggest MIL or what they call MRAD. Trying to break it down and if you know this then my apologies. As what’s been said you could save a few hundred bucks going this route and have a little extra left over for a Game Changer bag and bipod which will be essential.

Whatever you do, I would recommend going with scope with mil radian (MRAD) adjustments for a whole bunch of reasons.

I also have a Kahles K624i w/SKMR3 reticle and I like it just as much as the AMG other than the AMG has better low light optical performance. And yes in optical tests it does show more chromatic aberration than desirable, but when shooting it in a match, I have never ever noticed that, and it won't ever cause a missed shot.

I have looked through the Minox ZP5 and it is impressive, but usually costs more than an AMG, and if something goes wrong will probably have to be shipped back to Europe for repair. My AMG's (I have 2) have never needed repair, but if they do, Vortex customer service is known for its excellence, and they service them in the US.

Still gathering up equipment, rifle almost built. Could you message me a list of essential stuff that I might not be aware of?
