Ok fairly new to long range shooting. I played around with a 300win mag setup I did but was offered a nice profit and sold it.
2 years later I am finally ready to setup a new hunting rig/Long range rig when time permits.
I like the 6.5 creedmoor caliber and my hunting ranges will usually only be max around 5-600yards for deer and if ever given the chance to Elk hunt I know with the caliber ballistics I need to stay probably under 350-400yards. I am confident in my ability to place the shot so please don't turn this thread into a caliber/ethical kill discussion.

I am looking very hard at LRP Elite Bergara but would like to know thoughts from those of you that have experience with them. I have settled on my optics choice which will be a Valdada Recon G2 4.8-30x56 FFP mil/mil setup.

I am a big dude and not that concerned with the weight of rifle so Christensen and all that flashy carbon fiber doesn't really interest me other than their stock that folds. Honestly the only thing I wished to be different on the bergara setup is a heavier barrel.

Being out of the game for a couple years some of the precision shooters from the local reloader shop told me to look at tikka or Bergara….I have zero experience with either but Bergara HMR Pro really stood out but availability is non existent currently and then started reading up on the LRP Elite. Out of all the other chassis systems out there do you think this is the best choice or is there a better option at this price point? or would it be worth my while to wait on HMR pro to be available again? for those that need a budget for the rifle I would be willing to be around 2600-2700max since I already have the scope picked out.

thanks for your time in advance

Ive shot the bergara B-14 HMR in .308 and that was a fine shooting weapon right out of the box. I realize this probably doesn't help much with your decision but it is a positive about bergara. Good luck man!

With the masterpiece arms I found a version of that chassis with foldable buttstock that peaks my interest for attaching a sling and letting the rifle rest on my back for some of the longer hikes I do for hunting. Obviously the foldable stock will make this much easier. Does anyone have any reviews or first hand knowledge of the quality of it. For example no slip or play when buttstock is deployed for action? Or how the detention works for when it is folded?
