Looking to have a rifle built, probably by GA in either 243, 260 rem or the 6.5 creedmoore. It will be used for some matches but also for deer and hog hunting on our ranch.
how does the creedmore compare to the other two cartridges as far as accuracy, velocity and as a hunting round. What people who have shot it, how they like it.
The Creedmoor is Rob01 and Team Blaster approved. Link below. Now, do yourself a favor and search a bit. There is a ton of material on the creedmoor around this site alone. I know you are new so you get a free pass...
6.5 creedmore is a wonderful round, along with 6.5 x 47 Lapua and 260, they all run about the same. 243 on the other hand has a bad habit of burning up barrels, if you shoot a lot beware.
Thanks guys, I plan on calling GA in the next day or so to order a 6.5 CM. The more I read about it and hear about it the more I think that is what I want.
Very good choice. Been shooting mine for about a year and a half in comps and love it. Factory ammo is very accurate and it's easy to load for. You will be happy with your rifle especially if it's coming from GAP.
I have several other GAP rifles now and they are all great and they are the only ones that I will have build me a rifle, also once again thanks for all the help and input guys.
