Well just picked this up at an auction on Sunday. 1 of only 100 made and this was brand new never fired in the original hard case with manuals and everything. Pretty cool gun. Got a lot of attention at the range, and it's def cool shooting the only AR15 style weapon in 30.06 (that I know of). Optics will be bought soon. Enjoy

Re: New toy. COBB MCR 30.06

Very cool concept. I spoke with Cobb shortly after they sold to Bushmaster but while they still had their doors open. BM purchased the mfg rights to the 50 BMG and the MCR.

Then I called BM and they said that they did intend to produce the MCR but it was a ways down the line. BM did/does make the 50 but I have yet to see the MCR in any form.

I found it very innovative to potentialy have one rifle that could go from 5.56 all the way to 338 by mearly poping out a few pins.

Maybe one day it will happen.

FYI if you are interested I did see a 308 MCR conversion kit on GB a few months back (not there now) so may be worth keeping an eye out for one.

Got it for 1700 after taxes and auction fees. Not bad for it being brand new.

That is a very cool rare AR style rifle! I had never heard of these until you posted up this topic, thanks for sharing!

That really is a steal. Any particular reason you went with 30-06? Just kind of a unique caliber at this time in history.

Given the more popular calibers out there. BAR magazines seem pretty inexpensive though. Make sure you update with a range report when you optic up.

At any given time you decide to sell this beauty I want to be first in line to buy this system at a profit on your end. This has always been my idea of the perfect AR platform!
