From a personal stand point only, I dont care for thumb holes but, it shoulders good and is comfortable. It's not mine.

By all means, lets use yours. Go ahead and send the Hensoldt too and I will be happy to mount and sight it in for you.

i don't think it is all that much more than a regular stock with all the comparable bells and whistles plus bottom metal.

the build looks great as usual william.

Re: New toy in the making

Is that yours, Jason? I know you'll love it, it's almost identical to my .260. Mine's a Remington action, though.

I'm interested to see the paint, I'm deciding between those colors right now on another rifle, I'm leaning towards FDE but can't seem to find any pics of Service Brown on a rifle.

Re: New toy in the making

I'm told service brown is closer to the red/brown in that stock. Just the bolt and a few other spots will be that color. We'll see how it looks.

Oh, yes, it's mine. I have a very similar 243 and wanted to try the 260 for a while.

Let me all tell you a story, I have paid Cigarcop exactly $40 from this action that came from him!! He's a hell of a good guy!!

I've got 2 591s on backorder, still! He had an extra in the safe that he wasn't using for a couple months and was willing to trade me for one of mine when they were ready. I sent him $40 to cover the shipping he paid and the $20 FFL transfer on the new action when it shipped to him. He asked for nothing more. That's right, he mailed an action to my gunsmith without receiving any payment for it, working all on trust. He's truly one of the good guys and one of the guys that makes this board great.

Just priced an adjustable A5 with all the bells and whistles plus a Badger M5 and some HD swivels. Came out $74.00 more than what he has listed for the advertised KMW package.

Manners T5A with similar features, Badger M5 and 2 HD swivels was within $15.00.

So yea, it ain't cheap but its price is very in line with other top shelf offerings.

Just my .02

This is what I like about this community, I for one have experienced similar story too. Kudos to cigarcop, along with many more on the hide.

Re: New toy in the making

Jason said we could all get together and have a free for all with this rifle. Bring any ole ammo you may have laying around, we'll see what his girl has to offer.

Yessir Cigarcop is definitely a "One of A Kind" fellow. I responded to one of his F/S posts for bottom metal and he cut me deal beyond a deal on the price. When I told him I would send a Postal Money Order, he said "Naw, just mail me a check" and then e-mailed that he had shipped the parts before I even got the check off to him the next day!! All this, and I had all of 5 posts on this board!!! I am sure St. Peter will have special place on the line reserved for Cigarcop!! Of course, somebody will have to let me know some way or the another. I'll be fighting a case of "Super Mirage" thru a Tasco in the warmer climes I am sure......

Thank You Cigarcop!!!!!!!!

No need, RAD called me last night to see if I still had any rounds left over from the 260 I burned out last year. Fortunately, I still had about 200 rounds. The downside to this was we only had about an hour of range time today but we managed to use up all my leftover ammo. Don't worry, it was H4350 pushing 140 Amax's at a hair over 3000fps. It's a good thing Roscoe didn't have time to coat it before we shot it because it melted the foam inside the pelican case we used for transport. Thanks for letting us shoot it and you owe me a new foam kit for my case.

Re: New toy in the making

Nah, just kinda figured the next bullet in line would push out the fouling from the prior round fired. We cleaned it from the muzzle end with my Hoppe's kit when we were finished.

Oh, and one more thing, better make it a USPS money order....

The bottom metal is painted.....does that count?
