New VA member

Good morning everyone, and Happy New Year!

I'm a new member here, but have been a member of other similar sites for years now. I mostly came here looking for the best information and exchange of ideas as I intend to build up a 5.56 mid-range precision gun that can also serve in a pinch as a backup to my general purpose AR, and be a backup to it in carbine training.

A little about me; I'm from SE Pennsylvania, but have lived in Northern VA for a couple years. I'm also a Navy Reserve NCO with some OEF time, as well as additional time supporting OEF and OIF from stateside locations. Unfortunately, my military job doesn't really concern itself with trigger pulling, but that's like most jobs. I've attended multiple carbine courses with EAG Tactical, and pistol classes with Magpul Dynamics. I'd like to start stretching my legs out a bit now and see what I can reach out and touch.

Welcome! Which range do you frequent the most? A lot of us are members up at Peacemaker in Gerrardstown, WV. Enjoy the Hide, there's a wealth of information here.

Thanks for the welcome, ZLB. I've been to Sharpshooters, Blue Ridge, and the NRA range so far in VA, and visited Trijicon's. I've also been to Echo Valley and Tango Down training centers in WV so far. I'd definitely like to find some ranges out to maybe 500+ in the near future, though. I know that's tough around here, but not impossible.
