question: when you say "there will be an open center for ease of target acquisition",do you mean exactly like the open center that the EMDR(3-15) reticle has now?</div></div>

I have considered the Weaver 3-15 recently but I just can't get past the reticle design. I am looking to upgrade from a Falcon with their EMD reticle (which I really like) and thought the Weaver would be very similar, until I looked closely at the through the scope pics on here. It just doesn't make sense to me to leave out the half mil hash mark before the first dot.
Otherwise, because of the positive reviews and range reports I've read, I would probably be been looking for one in a couple weeks.
Also, will Weaver ever redesign the 4-20 Tactical for increased elevation travel? It seems like that would be a very popular scope if it had anywhere close to the amount of travel offered in the 3-15. Maybe they could redesign the EMDR to include the hash mark before the first dot just for the 4-20 (with more travel).

At this point I don't believe there are any plans to redesign the 4-20x but I will certainly ask. At the same time, I can ask about the no hashes at the half mil point. I do know that section of the crosshair between the first mil dots and
the center us slightly thinner than the remaining portion. Perhaps the half mil lines were omitted to keep that portion les cluttered?
