New Zealand farmer/ranchers take in the ass.

I'm not entirely sure America is the freest country, you guys have have some freedoms written in the consitiution that aren't so clearly stated in other countries but State Governments and the Federal Governement certainly know how to crack down on things like free speech and the second ammendment.

I would love to have the access to firearms you do (and at the same price woudl be nice) but other than that there are a lot of things I prefer in other countries. Things like ease of doing business, tax laws, opening a bank account, labour laws, are often far better in other countries.
I've never lived in the US but know people that have (I have a brother in Canada which is similar in someways) and they say you take certain things for granted in NZ as being easy that aren't simple in North America.

Not to mention American Politics is a complete shit show, I'm sure you can tune out too it for the most part.
But being worried about your city/state tunring blue (or red) and completely changing your way of life over certain political issues sounds horrible.
I havent been to NZ so cant say much on it. I do agree with you in many ways though. I just saw an article on rolling back child labor laws. Greed and stupidity are rampant.

NZ is the perfect country to go on holiday to if ever interested. Living here is more complicated.

You can travel the entire country in 2 weeks and see pretty much everything that is worth seeing in that time.
Apparently it’s also one of the best countries in the world for trout fishing if you are into that kinda thing.

I have heard it is a motorcycling paradise… but who would spend tourist dollars propping up a corrupt socialist regime?

All “free people” should spend their vacation disposable income in places that welcome freedom, not crush it.

The fags and fruits “boycott” states that they consider anti-grooming and buggery…. We should be doing the same. I bet we have bigger wallets, too.

Here’s to New Zealanders rising up and freeing themselves from socialist oppression!

Name this elusive destination you speak of?

Agreed.

In many ways Americans would be better off supporting other countries rather than their own.
The biggest threat to west currently is the BS coming out of American universities and academia.

Even the Sweden seems to have turned over a leaf in regards to crazy ideas around gender, not to mention their response to Covid was rather world leading.
Finland too a "somewhat socialist" is doing a much better job than at avoiding the madness than the USA, NZ, Australia etc.

I've heard the NZ has that reputation (motorcycling). I'm not entirely sure why but it's certainly not bad.

Most of the nice places worth spending time and money in are in the South Island which is considerably more "conservative".

Speak of the (socialist) devil.
NZ basically told Jacinda that her ideology was no longer welcome, so seeing the writing on the wall she stood down from being Primer Minister.

Looks like Harvard thought she'd fit right in....

Unless Chris holds her accountable you can expect more of the same.
You may not agree but we'll see how this post ages.

There's no chance she is held accountable, Politicians are almost never held accountable, I've already heard political commentators mention she'll be in the running for the worst Prime Minister award but that'll be it.

Despite her leaving, the Labour led Government needs the boot this year and a lot of things need to be undone.
If they manage to get back in again (which they might) it'll be very bad news.

Sadly the National party is only a tiny bit better, so unless ACT get a decent amount of votes (and form a coalitions with National where they actually have some say) the things won't change dramatically.

Not sure if anyone cares about NZ politics but you are getting it anyway.
