Hello all, I'm new to the long range world and have learned a ton from this site so I was hoping some of you could help me out with a dilemma.
I currently have a SWFA SS 3-15 on my Savage 10P (.308) and was recently offered a deal to upgrade to the SS 5-20 for the difference in price between the two. I've been happy with the 3-15 but I'd like a little more top end magnification which makes the 20 appealing (not to mention the better glass). I mainly shoot paper and steel out to 500M but I'd like to eventually get out to 1k.
The other option I'm considering is a purchase of a spotting scope in the $3-400 range in order to see hits a little easier at 300M+
My question is which option do you think adds more value as I progress I long range? Or, is there another option I should consider.
Thanks in advance for any insight you can provide.
