Hi all, just signed up. New to the long-range scene. I look forward to learning from the community. I am also interested in any training/classes I can take in the Philadelphia area, as well as information on best equipment/rigs for long-range night hunting.

Welcome! Central Pa myself. If you're looking for training "close" to Philly, check out Black Hat Training Corps (http://www.bhtcorps.com/). They run several classes a year in Lewistown, and most of the guys shooting precision in our area got started with them. The guy who runs it, Freddy (fargo007 on SH) does't live far from you either. If you get bit by the competitive bug, we have a precision series running at 3 ranges in PA and MD throughout the summer called the Mason Dixon Sniper Series (https://www.facebook.com/groups/masondixonsniperseries)

Closer to home, there are ranges at Atglen and New Holland that offer a bit of room, but nothing like MCSA at Lewistown. Ontelaunee, between Allentown and Tamaqua, goes out to 300 yards. Eastern PA is bereft of true long-distance ranges, and most weekends are taken up by organizations like BHTC utilizing the ranges. Locals can manage to find a time easily, but for travelers, it often means having to fork out to participate in classes and events to get trigger time.

Welcome . I'm in Lower Bucks County . If you have a hunting license there is a three hundred yard game commission range in Jim Thorpe . If you do go make sure to check out the view from the Flag Staff Inn's parking lot . Unfortunately they only do catered events now .
Any who I shoot at Holmesburg . Best hundred bucks you'll ever spend .
