Hi all,

I'm a newbie who has recently purchased my first bolt action rifle (Remington 700 SPS Tactical in .308 with 20" barrel) and scope (Leupold Mark 6 3-18x44 scope with the TMR reticle). I need recommendations for 34mm Rings (height? separate or one piece?) and a base (cant?). I don't know how far I'll be shooting, but I doubt I would go beyond 800 meters considering the caliber. Thanks in advance.

Seekins low (.92) rings + Seekins 20 moa base.
Might need an add-on cheek-piece or stock-pack though.

What he said. Seekins are less expensive as well as lighter. Also their connection system using two 25 Torx screws is more stream lined. I have been using them on my match rifles for years and they have never let me down.

Another vote for the Seekins low .92 rings....I just ordered a set directly from Seekins and they shipped within a week.

I have the same mark 6 as you and with the 44 mm objective lens you can use just about any low height 34 mm rings you want, but just as Rob said the Torx screws that Glen uses on his rings are bombproof and a better design than Leupold, Badger, TPS, etc.
