My wife and I are expecting our first little one in April. Even though newborns are not shooters right away, I am planning on piecing together an AR over the next several years to come. I am starting with a stripped lower, My intentions are to paint & design major component each year based on what her interest are at that age. After several birthdays she should have a pretty nice rifle with an eclectic group of components that she will expect every year.
After airbrushing these components, what clear coat would be best to apply over the painted area? I want something that is durable and has a matte finish..
PS. We don't have a baby name yet either.
Thanks, Brandon

Yes, Dave is a great name for his daughter.

It depends on what paint you choose to use. If you use a duracoat or ceracoat no clear coat should be needed, If you use good ol krylon, use the same brand clear cote but make sure that it is matte in finish unless you like shiny.
