I shot nightforce a email early, and i don't know how long they usually take to get back to you so I thought ide check the hide to see if anyone else has already asked my question. My hunting partner has the compact 2-10 with enclosed turrets, which they offer on compacts. I want to know if they will install the enclosed turrets on a 3.5-15??? just thought ide throw it out there

Re: NF enclosed turret

I'm only really looking at having this done since exposed turrets and scabbards don't seem to get along to well. I have a leupy that loves to adjust its own windage on the m1 turrets while its getting pulled out of a scabbard..

some times coyotes dont like to hang around for you to check your elevation and windage before shooting them from your snowmobile... thanks but no thanks

I dunno about you, but regardless of coyotes, or anything for that matter; safety first.

To the OP, let us know what you hear back. I would like a capped wind knob like the G7.

Anything is possible, but it would be a waste of money. NF wants $360 to convert from enclosed to ZS, external turrets. The NF turrets should have sufficient tension not to move inside a case... You'd be limiting the scope's ability to make adjustments on the fly as well. Leave them be.

If you are hunting coyotes with your rifle in a scabbard, I would imagine that your success rate may improve if you remove it before you start hunting, unless you are hunting from horse back, in that case, I apologize. But to be realistic, if you are in the heat of a moment and have to pull, think and get set to fire, I would think that your success rate will not be all that good anyway, as coyotes that are seen normally have seen you too, if it is a chance encounter, IME.

Re: NF enclosed turret

krecon1, thanks for the rough price info.

If you have any comments about hunting with scabbards or safety or anything else off topic, please keep them to yourself or PM them to me if you really need to get your 2 cents in.

Ill post the info I get from NF when I get it.

Re: NF enclosed turret

Talk about fast customer service, nightforce got back to me today, letting me know enclosed turrets can not be done at this time.. they've had quite a few requests so its getting considered..
