I'm buying a NF soon for my tactical gun. I want to try something different than Mil-dots, but I still a reticle for ranging steel. I'm leaning toward the NP-R2, but the 1 moa increments on the NP-R1 might be needed. Anyone have some advice?

I've got several NP-R1s and they are great for ranging. There is half the white area between slashs as the R2 so much less guess work and having 2moa wind holds verses 5 moa is nice.

Get the NP R1. Has 2 MOA wind marks which are easier to break down for wind or mover holds and also the 1 MOA vertical marks are easier to make precise holds.

I have both the R1 and R2 reticles. For ranging the NP-R1 wins easily.

However, I prefer the NP-R2 if I'm shooting known distances or at a range I'm familiar with.
