Rifle Scopes NF varmint vs. NXS

Re: NF varmint vs. NXS

Less MOA of adjustments and 1/8 MOA adjustments, no side focus is the main difference between the BR and the NXS

Re: NF varmint vs. NXS

I also noticed the Benchrest models dont have as much eye relief, I was looking at a 12-42x56 BR but then I found an NXS 12-42x56 for a little less, So I went with the NXS. So Which ones better? Is the only advantage to the BR the 1/8 moa ajustments?? And when would that become usefull? Thanks

Re: NF varmint vs. NXS

The is a video circulating on the net from a NF rep. at the SHOT show. I watched it the other evening. It was a comparison between the BR model and the NXS model. The rep. said that the NXS was built tougher than the BR scope. He used them both as a hammer, and said the BR was considerably tough, but he said the NXS was tougher.

I considered a BR for a varmint rig that I am putting together right now. But I made my final decision and went with Sightron. I just could not see any real world (except price) varmint hunting differences. For you tactical guys---maybe so. And also maybe for the BR shooters. But for the average varmint hunter-no way. Just my opinion. Tom.

Re: NF varmint vs. NXS

Thanks for the responses. I got some pics of the scope the guy is selling and it looks like it has removable turret caps as well. It doesn't really seem to be what I'm looking for but if the price is right I still might pick it up for my target rifle.
