Rifle Scopes NF

Bought a NF from a hide member. Say's Made in Japan. I thought they were USA made?

BTW, I'll never buy another MK 4 again. There is just no comparison!

I believe all but the new F1 are made OUTSIDE the states.

Nope. Sure didn't. I really don't mind that it's Japan made. My fav bird gun is a Japanese Browing. Just an observation really.

Japanese made anything is fine. They make as good or better anything that we do most of the time. Cars, musical instruments, whatever. Glass is no exception.

They are all assembled and QC'd in the US in Idaho but the F1 and compacts are the only models that have enough US parts to have the markings Made in the USA. The 3.5-15, 5.5-22 etc are marked Made in Japan due to the parts and not where they were assembled.

Either way the scopes are excellent and you will be served well by it.

The 1-4x, the 2.5-10x, and the 3-15x50 F1 bodies are made here in the USA. All the other SFP scope bodies and parts are made in Japan...

They are not made in Japan. Parts are. They are assembled in the US.

Yea, first one I got I was like WTF !?! . Untill I did a little searching and got more info . It's all good though. I've got a second one now and will get more.

ok, i just found an old NF for sale, for around 700 lit reticle, with surface scratches, looks to be a 90's model with a glossy tube. would you buy it? sorry for the hyjack
