Due to popular demand at the matches Mike and I are running a 3/4 day clinic specifically focused on two areas requested by many of the attendees, Movers and Reticle Holdovers.

This is not a wide open training opportunity. Many on the hide from different states are coming down and shooting with us regularly, and this is primarily focused on those folks and members of the club where we are training. We will take people in that we don't know, but you will be considered an alternate until 2 weeks before the clinic at which time your registration will be solidified in order of application.

Holdovers apply to precision shooters. Movers are open to Carbine and Precision.

We will provide basic classroom instruction on techniques that are useful for each, and then we will hit the range and iron it all out. Range time for precision shooters will include plenty of dry fire practice on movers, and live fire at 300 and 600 yards. Holdover drills will occur from 300 to 600Y. Carbine shooters will engage movers at 200 and 300Y.

We will be working in relays so expect to be in the pit to walk targets.

Registration is closed, clinic is full.

Thanks,

Re: NHRPC/BHTC Mover/Holdover clinic May 28 Gap PA

I don't believe I posted the price of the clinic.

It's $50.00 for the cost of the all day clinic with a $25 range fee for NON-club members. So if you are a member it's $50, and if not, it's $75.

You will get some brief classroom time, and then right out to the range to shoot movers and holdovers until you are just sick of them.

The clinic was very challenging to shoot, and also to run. We worked hard to put a good day together for all who attended. It looked like everyone enjoyed it a lot and had good things to say.

Love to hear what you guys thought about it.

Hugo - Thanks for breakin' in my new White Oak SDM bbl. hahaha...

Take care,

Not every day that I get a chance to practice moving targets. First time for me actually so it was good to see/understand what is involved. I may leave the brake at home next time, I neglected to realize how much of a nuisance they are to neighbors on the firing line. communication was good from the pits on the radios, quick and easy to record hits and misses for corrections.

My only suggestion is longer handles on the moving targets. Really tricky to keep them steady in the wind.
