Everyone who runs an Eberlestock Phantom knows that one of the first selling points was that you could run the combination of pack and dragbag ,or both as individuals. With the dragbag, you added the shoulder straps to make full support: waist belt and straps, but when you wanted to run the bag alone, the only option you had was running shoulder straps, no belt option was available. For me, the pack was the main component and the dragbag was an accessory, many outings I have no need for a rifle scabbard, but have to carry it for the waist belt feature. Bow hunting was a time when I was forced to carry that extra weight as well as hiking and using it as a carry on.
I contacted Eberlestock about modifications to the pack allowing the waistbelt to be added to it but there was no interest. At this year’s ASC I approached Nick Painter and his reply was an immediate “Yeah we can fix that” and here is the Great work Nick performed to double the value of my phantom.

I could not be happier with Nicks work and the added value of my Phantom
THANKS NICK!!

Haven't given Nick the props he deserves. Great stuff at a good price. Hope he sticks around for a long time.
