Re: night force rings and baseplate

i have badger or nightforce bases and rings on my rifles; havent found a reason to use any others.

Either brand will serve you well.

Re: night force rings and baseplate

Any standard Picatinny Rail for the SA Rem 700 will work on your receiver and will mate to the NF rings.

I personally use EGW's Steel 20 MOA base on my R700's, pick something and run with it. Once the base is properly installed I see no reason to argue over

Bagdger, NF, EGW, Near, etc. etc. etc.

Quality products will work. Don't put a $13 chinese base on there.

Re: night force rings and baseplate

wont a 20 moa be to much for my remington?its a 700 mil spec heavy barrel 308.the reason i ask is because im not gonna do any 1000 trd shooting.just a 100 200 trds.a little sitting for deer.i shoot mostly paper off a bench at my place, just trying to get the closet groups i can.

Re: night force rings and baseplate

If your not shooting very far than what do you need a 8-32x56 NF on it? I'm not trying to be an ass, but that is a ton of scope for what you just described. For just hunting deer like your describing I would get a 3-9 Super Sniper or something similar.

Re: night force rings and baseplate

That is entirely too much scope for the distances you want to shoot. I've purchased my Nightforce for 500 to 1000 yard shooting. Your scope is designed for beyond 1000 yards at its optimum.
