I have a new glock 26. The front sight has a hex head under it that appears to hold it on, The sight feels like steel. The older glocks had plastic front sights that you just pulled out with pliers if you wanted to mount a night sight. on the older guns the night sight had a oval sticking out of the bottom that fit an oval hole in the slide. The night sight fit in the hole and you used a glock tool to stake it in. I have an older night sight and the tool. Will this older sight fit the new gun/does the new sight use the same oval hole? How do I take the the hex head screw out, it looks way to flush to get a wrinch on? I assume it takes a special tool to remove the hex head?
Thanks

Jeff

Re: Night sights for new Glock 26

Yes it has the oval cut in the slide. As for the size of the little bolt, I used a screwdirver kit thing with all the little attatchments I wanna say its a 2.5mm or something. good luck with it.

I have a 1/4" drive socket, I don't remember the size of the hex, that I ground the face flat on. Thats what I used to change out the front sight on a friends Glock.
