Thinking about night vision for coyote hunting. Don't know much about it and looking for a quick education. Ideally I would like to get night vision that mounts in front of the scope of a picatinny rail and not just a night vision scope. Does this exist? Want decent quality but not crazy price. An analogy would be I'll pay for a Viper PST but not a Schmidt & Bender.

You're talking about a night vision clip on. As far as price for night vision clip ons you might be able to find a used older pvs27 for maybe 5-6k with green phosphor tubes. But for coyote hunting you might want to go the thermal clip on route instead which will be more effective and cheaper. You'll be able to detect coyotes much easier using thermal than with standard night vision.
