Got my optic in the mail today so felt like a kid while I’m at work, like a new episode of my favorite cartoon will be on to come home to. I don’t see much when searching around for this optic so thought I’d put a couple pics up unboxing etc. and things I noticed.
Came with some flip covers, stickers, throw lever for magnification, lens cloth, manual and multi tool. Has the inspection sticker, but on the bottom it says made in Japan.
I don’t care as much as others when it comes to how turrets feel and sound but I would say that they are a little better than my SHV which is great. Personally, totally fine which is how the SHV feels btw
It’s hard to get a good picture from my phone, but the illumination seems like it works really well to the reticle. Although I can’t say much to anything on optical quality, and things like this being that I haven’t taken it out of the house yet.
so I All I had to mount these with was some Seekins low rings onto this Remington 700 .308 and yup, you guessed it, no wiggle room so something to keep in mind. I got really lucky that it actually works for me.
Another thing I ran into was at 20x power magnification, when lifting the bolt it will hit the throw lever. At 16 it clears fine and honestly, I probably won’t use 20 much anyway. Limited mounting options I have play a part in this.
Here’s a side by side comparison of it next to the SHV 4-16x50 F1 in case anyone’s curious. I can’t afford an atacr atm, so I’ll give ya a lower to mid spectrum comparison haha. That’s really all I’ve
