Rifle Scopes Nightforce atacr 4-16 F1? Who has experience

I love mine. Currently resides on a 6.5 grendel AR. Tracks true, good glass, I love the elevation turret lock, good RTZ every time, yes I wish it was lighter, but that's just a minor nitpick for me. I would definitely buy another one and I highly recommend them!

I have one that sits on my SPR type build and love it.

I really like the way they did the zero stop.

The glass is awesome for such a small package and for me it feels right at home on top of an SPR sized rifle.

Super solid, feature rich, repeatable, great glass. Awesome scope. A little chunky but like the short length. Numbers are big and easy to read on turret. Reticle is very usable at 4x.

Ive had a few and currently run one on my OBR... as all have stated, fantastic glass, the best mechanics you can get on a scope, and for being "compact", it doesn't have the eye relief issues many of the smaller scopes have. Parallax can be dialed to 900m/infinity where most stop at 500, simple to use zero stop and while I don't run illumination, the dual color digital illumination is neat. Cant beat it coming with fancy caps, throw lever etc either! I don't notice the weight much, but it replaced a Razor 3-18, so I guess anything is lighter than that!

Got two of them. Very happy.

I'm running one with Tremor 3 on my SPR/DMR and it works great. Going to pick up two more with the Tremor 3 for two other gas guns. I've got a H59 model listed in the classifieds here for a good deal because I settled on the Tremor 3.

Is the same shooter using both of those rifles? Unless it is an optical illusion, it looks like the same face could not possibly establish a proper cheekweld on both rifles. The scope looks to be at least .5" higher.

Yes, I manage to shoot them both.

The Larue mount at a height of 1.53" is 0.27" higher than the Spuhr. The LaRue .260, being a big block gun, has an additional 1/8" or so more drop at the comb of the stock than does the small block Grendel. So, we're looking at a total height difference from the comb of the stock to the center of the optic on the order of around 0.4".

Why the different heights for the mounts?

The LaRue mount is that 1.53" height to ensure it is coaxial with our military's clip-on night vision devices. It's a bit high for me in the prone position but fine for all others. Since most tactical shooting is done from other than prone, the height is an intelligent compromise.

The Spuhr mount, originally produced in this height for the Noveske Shooting team, is really the height I prefer shooting prone. But it requires an aggressive cheek weld in the more erect shooting positions. Another compromise. Seems to work for me ok. Looks cool, too!

I guess I do have one big melon of a head. It must therefore provide me with a lot of options as to where and how I establish my cheek weld.

To drift the thread, I don't have a big head and my jaw doesn't seem wide or anything, but I can't shoot guns with a tight cheek-weld.

Remington rifles and shotguns with irons, I literally can not look down the sights at all. My scoped rifles I shoot with cheek weld at about the corner of my mouth.

I do decent with a 1.5" center on an AR,but it feels low and is very fatiguing to use for extended time.

Everyones different.

As far as quality goes, I really like my 4~16 F1. I have one on a hunting rifle and planned for a T3 version for 6 creed gas gun. I'm re thinking that idea. I'm considering mounting a 25x ATACR T3.

I have two, both on bolt action rifles. I love 'em. I like the covered windage and zero lock so I have no worry about anything moving when the rifles are carried hunting. Like others, I wish it were lighter but I like the small form factor and low elevation turret.
