Rifle Scopes Nightforce compact mushy knobs?

Gents,
Recently pulled out my ar-10 to go to the range this weekend and I noticed the knobs on my nightforce compact 2.5-10x24 were mushier than normal. NOrmally they have positive clicks and are firm but they were real quiet and squishy this morning.
Is it cause of the sudden cold weather in california? Any suggestions to alleviate? Kinda irks me that my tasco has better clicks than the nightforce right now....

Is there grease under the knobs?Cold whether will cause it to thicken...

I had the same issue with my 2.5-10X32. Send it back to Nightforce, they had it back within a week and turrets feel amazing now.

Both of my 2.5-10x32's are horrible. They are mushy and don't have any audible clicks at all. I sent one back and it arrived back the same was as when I sent it. Works fine, just mushy

My 2.5-10x32 is noticeably "mushier" than my full size NXS scopes, and it does get even worse in colder temps. It hasn't bothered me enough that I've sent it back, but I've definitely noticed it...
