<span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">"Front Focal Plane" (FFP)</span></span> is also known as <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">"First Focal Plane"</span></span>, just as <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">"Second Focal Plane" (SFP)</span></span> is also known as <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">"Rear Focal Plane"</span></span>.

You're not mistaken about the F1's glass being made in Japan - it IS. However, <span style="font-style: italic">it is assembled in the United States of a majority, i.e. 51% or greater, of U.S.-produced parts.</span> That is how the F1 AND MANY OTHER PRODUCTS are legally labeled as <span style="font-style: italic">"Made in U.S.A."</span>.
The non-F1 Nightforce scopes are not produced the same way as the F1.
