Ordered mine late Friday afternoon. Got my very first Nightforce in today. Went with a NXS 5.5-22x50 NP-R1 - MOA. Went ahead and went all out with the zero stop and high speed turrets. Thanks Jay! And you are right. This thing is going to spoil me!

I also just received a new NF 5.5-22x50 NXS (ZS/MLR/mil) yesterday from the great folks at Sport Optics. I have to say I stuck with older turrets, primarily because my 3.5-15x50 has those and I've been really happy with it (ie. creature of habit). Am I missing out on something REALLY HUGE with the HS turrets, or is it more of a slight change/improvement?

It's a pretty minor feature. You still have the same number of clicks. It's just half as much turning of the turret.

I read a statement from Nightforce saying that eventually they will offer a service to upgrade your turrets to the high speed ones.

Mine came with the high speed turrets, but I didn't specifically request it. It just came that way.

Moadster, what height rings you planning on running with that 56mm? will lows still work or are you going med?

depending on the rifle, he might be able to go low. i'm running a remington 700 in 280AI with a number 4 contour barrel with a nightforce 2 piece base, nf885UL rings and a 5.5-22x56
