Rifle Scopes Nightforce inspection stickers.

Re: Nightforce inspection stickers.

You can remove them. They just leave them on there for the cool factor

Re: Nightforce inspection stickers.

I'd left mine on simply because when I decide to sell it, the buyer would know what year it was built. I don't know if the manufacturing date really matters or not but I've heard (read) some say that the pre-2010 models don't have glass as nice as those of 2010+.

This is what I thought.

"If Nightforce didn't want them there, they wouldn't have put them there." LOL!

Re: Nightforce inspection stickers.

The question gets asked and the sticker gets mocked fairly often.

Here is a link to one of those discussions.

Removing the sticker constitutes a violation of the Federal Consumer Protection Act and is punishable with of fine of up to $10,000 and/or imprisonment of up to 1 year. Remove it at your own discretion, just like that tag on your mattress.

I tried to search for this topic before posting it but, just got like 200 results that were not related.

Re: Nightforce inspection stickers.

I wasn't getting on your case for not searching. I only remembered it because I commented on in that thread too. I just had to search my own posts to find it. I have always thought it was funny that people leave the inspection stickers on...as if it could get out of the factory without one... I wonder if they take the inspection stickers of their clothes. Hanes use to run a commercial about "Inspector 7" saying "They don't say Hanes until I say they say Hanes".. Maybe NightForce should run a similar ad or maybe put out inspector trading cards and stats so people could find out more about the person that inspected their scope. They could trade inspection stickers and then maybe the inspection stickers would actually add some value to the scope, based on the specific inspectors reputation .

Re: Nightforce inspection stickers.

That's the first thing I peeled of haha. I think I stuck mine on the box and put it up in the rafters in the basement. Gotta keep the box if I ever would sell it someday. I don't see that happening but you know how people get around here, they want safe queen scopes for used scope prices haha.
