Rifle Scopes Nightforce mountsand rings for Sako TRG 42

Re: Nightforce mountsand rings for Sako TRG 42

I don't think Nf makes a base for Trg, if your buying a Trg with the factory 0 moa base included, then you could use a Nf unimount 1.375" model. If the trg doesn't come w a base you could go several ways,Badger makes a couple bases I think one 20 moa and one 45 moa.For the scope your mentioned you can get the Nf low rings.Warne also makes bases for trg ,as does Near. There is a Sphur group buy here somewhere ,they make a trg mount w integrated rings. It all depends on how much you have to spend.

I have been looking at mount options for my TRG 22 and have decided on the Sphur myself. Nothing against Nighforce rings or mounts but it seems like THE choice for the TRG rifles. Originally I was going for the Near base and Alphamount as that has high praise from others here but the cheif benefit of the Sphur is that it mounts to the factory TRG receiver. So there is no rail needed. This way there is less chance of tolerance stacking and adding unneeded height/parts. The Sphur can be had in different MOA if desired and I think they can even do a custom MOA if you want it. It also incorporates a bubble level to help you keep from canting the rifle and you can get rails machined into the rings if you want to put a red dot or other accossory on it. TNVC is importing/selling them.
