Looking at one of these for a SPR type rifle will be running a off set red dot also. I wanted a lightweight durable scope for this rifle plus I qualify for there discount so can get a great price. Have read a few comments about the illumination having a couple issues. Also wondering if the scope had had any improvements over the last couple of years since it has been out for awhile. It will be replacing a Leupold VX-R patrol rifle optic so hopefully will be a good upgrade
