Rifle Scopes Nightforce question

My buddy and I are having a argument. If I have a nightforce nxs 5.5-22x50 NON zero stop can I use a Kenton turret with zero stop? I say no and he says yes

I would say no because they are different height turrets. Just look at the pic on there web site you can see the diffrence

He called nightforce and the answer is no. They also said they charge $400 to add zero stop to a scope.

The cap sizes are different. The set screws in the ZeroStop will not engage the main lead screw of a non-ZeroStop adjustment.
