Re: nightforce rings and base

Steve,

RE Mounts: You can't go wrong with NF, Seekins, or Badger rail/ring sets. There are other quality mounts that slip my mind.

RE Mounting/Leveling:
1) Go to top of this section (Optics) and open "Optics FAQ's" - there is a thread on scope mounting/leveling procedures.

2) Do a search - there are many threads on scope mounting/leveling.

3) CSTactical, a Hide vendor, did the following video using levels:

http://www.cstactical.com/How-To-Videos/Mounting-A-Scope.html

Personally, I prefer the "feeler gauge" method.

General Info: Take some time and read the "stickys" at the beginning of each section - there is a wealth of information.

Re: nightforce rings and base

The mounts (bases and rings) that I have had good success with include Nightforce, Badger, Leupold and Warne. I don't think you can go wrong with any of these.

+1 on the feeler gauge method. I find myself using it with any flat bottom scope.
