Guys,

Need your opinions on what scope mount to get for a AIAE MKIII. NF Unimount in 20MOA or the AI scope mount 18MOA, which scope mount is fits/functions better on this rifle?

FYI-Scope objective will be either a 50 or 56

Thanks in advance

Keep in mind the factory AE picatinny rail has interrupted slots over the screws. IIRC the NF Unimount has double lugs/crossbolts and may not sit in all (or any) locations on the AE rail because of those interruptions. The AI mount has a single recoil lug so you don't have to worry about trying to get multiple lugs lined up. For that reason I'd suggest going with the AI mount.

The rail on the AE can also be rotated 180 and there are multiple sets of holes in the top of the receiver so you can move the scope rail forward or backwards as needed so you can get the scope where you want it.

For reference, the AI 30mm 18moa mount is 1.300" from the top of the picatinny rail to the center of the scope tube.

If you want to open up more options for scope mounts you can always replace the factory picatinny rail with one from Murphy Precision, they have uninterrupted slots the full length of the rail.
