i was looking at these

http://www.nikkostirling.com/Content/Targetmaster.htm

anyone have one in the newer design, or know where to look online to find one priced in US Dollars?

i did the google search, most conversations on the optic turns into another "buy a SS, buy a falcon menace, buy a - whatever else."

would rather have opinions on the topic optic - nikko stirling targetmaster - than every other manufacturere out there.

thanks

Re: NIKKO STIRLING TARGETMASTER

yeah i know i "stuck my neck out" by asking it, just curious if anyone has one as even a backup type of optic.

thinking about putting one on a rimfire, just testing the waters on this particular brand / model.

the problem with the whole mall ninja sites is that they usually do all their shooting at 25 yards with spitwads, and is kinda tough to get a real opinion.

I have one of the Target Master 10-50's on my Wifes Field Target air rifle. It tracks pretty good and is repeatable. It even has decent glass.I believe Nikko has a replacement policy on there scopes if they break.A friends rifle fell from a high shelf and his Nikko 10-50 scope broke. They sent him a new one.

It would make an acceptable 22 scope.

Here's my Wifes USFT and Nikko.

Re: NIKKO STIRLING TARGETMASTER

I had a similar 10-50 Nikko Stirling scope and it lost the ability to hold zero. I called the guys at www.legacysports.com, because they are the distributors/importers and they issued me a return #. I shipped them my scope and they sent me a brand new one. As far as ordering one, I bought mine from SWFA http://swfa.com/Nikko-Stirling-Riflescopes-C1526.aspx

After I received the new scope I sold it back to SWFA and got a Falcon to tide me over until I order a Viper PST.

That's not nice.....I don't need another form of shooting to try to get into.

Of course now that you posed it, we are going to need details on that beautiful rifle.

how much did it cost us dollars? where did you buy it from? (the scope)

I got it from Air guns of AZ.That was almost a couple years ago now and we paid around $650.Robert is a friend and gave us a good deal.

I must tempt those not accustomed to the wonders of modern Airguns,LOL.

Tim McMurry of Mac1 airguns is the guy that distributes the USFT.A retired engineer named Larry Durham designed it specifically for the sport of Field Target air rifle. They are over built to be super simple, super reliable and super accurate. The test target shown in the pic with the rifle is 12 shots into .4" at 51Y.

I'll post some pics of my USFT when I get it back from High Desert Tactical.Captain Moroni is doing a extreme digital camo job for me.I can't wait to show my "tacticool"
