can get a good deal on this scope looking for some opinions on the quality..aka would you put it on your weapon for under $250?

Yes. I have one on my Savage BTVS in 17hmr.
I am putting together another 17 for my daughters, and if not for wanting to try one of the Vortex's, it would wear another Nikon BM in a heartbeat. Great little optics.

Bought this exact scope for my cousin's varmint AR15. The glass is on par with my Leupy's. It has been a flawless performer for over a year.
