Can anyone help? I have this Nikon scope 2-7x32. It was on my fathers 7mm 08 Sako (late 70s-early 80s vintage sako). I would like to know what model it is.

OK, let's try again. I don't have a problem posting pix on Gunbroker but could not figure out how to post a pic on Sniper's Hide from my computer so you would not complain about getting around the rules. Some people are not as smart as you.

Maybe because nobody knows what model it is. That is what I am trying to find out. Seems to be a good scope and is made in Japan with clear optics. The curiosity is killing me "WHAT IS THE MODEL"?

Nikon doesn't make the VX-1 or the Rifleman. Those are both trademarks of Leupold.
Look on the bottom of the scope under the turrets, there should be a model or serial number there. If that doesn't work, call Nikon...

I also think the reticles were not self-centering too. If so, put it on a 22 and shoot away
