I've deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan, those pale in comparison to what they went through. At least I knew I was only there for 12-15 months. They left never knowing when they were gonna come home.

Thanks for the post. I have lost all of my family that were in WW II.
They were all strong Men and not all but most were great shooters too.
They all, to include the ones that didn't shoot a lot, loved a good rifle.
There is good therapudic value to having a good rifle.
Look at the smile on that man's face as he handles that Garand if you think I am wrong.
It is no stranger to him, and he loves it.

He sure was smiling, no telling what he was thinking, but maybe freedom, and a good way to stop an evil man.

Glad you guys like it. I stumbled across it recently, had never seen it before. And, it reduced me to weeping, and that's ok.

Hell yeah! Go 116th INF, "Stonewall", VAARNG. Loved seeing that boy, WIA, that took out that kraut pillbox. How they landed and took those beaches is beyond me. Only their great-grandfathers in the original Stonewall BDE can rival them.

Thanks for posting up.
