It's true there and it's true here too.
Our problem is different, our "refugees" are actually invading or at best it's an exodus. The few refugees we do bring in generally assimilate, don't they? I mean, for better or worse --if you relocate them to the Bronx in the 80's, expect the next generation to join gangs. If you relocate them to a quieter and more tolerant place, with opportunities, they do well and the next generation goes to college. At least that's what I've seen.
We should actually have a lot more refugees who we should patriate as citizens eventually. The Kurds come to mind, we've fucked those poor people over so many times and they still help us. The could have got more of the H'mong out too. I'm sure there are more from Iraq and Afghanistan we should be taking in too. I'm sure there are others.
A wall won't fix it, but we need to stop that shit at the southern border.
