2 month old AK replaced under warranty passed go no go gauges right out of the box ..........2 months later some miss fires [ammo checked ] and doubling [90 rounds out]. Now the carrier will not close on a go about a quarter inch from trunnion same as no go gauge ,chamber brush cleaned and looks good along with barrel rivets . It is on its way back to riley again for another new one but any thoughts. Ammo ,gauges etc work fine in my zap m 70 . Seems i am cursed with the riley BUT blessed too ......its more than 2 years out of warranty and they have not charged me......yet

1/4" is a lot. Are you removing the extractor, if not, I'd look at that for debris and/or failure. Then check the chamber for a broken case neck.
The previous one i sent back was ripping brass only cases in half and leaving the neck in the chamber .....this one is miss firing and doubling ,no issues with feeding ,extracting or ejecting . I have always left the extractor in before sometimes i just drop the gauge in and move the carrier forward and the extractor always picks out the gauge .....on good chambers .
