Finally got up the courage to try my hand at adding beavertails to my Glock 19. I used Marine Tex then painted with Duracoat. I didn't get bit a lot, but the beavertails make it soooo much nicer.

I thought it turned out pretty well so I went ahead and did my 17 and 23. I've done everything else myself on these guns, with the exception of the ATOM mount and RMR w/ Trigicon suppressor sights.

I cc the 23 @ about 4-5 o'clock in a Crossbreed Supertuck (with no light). The left side of that gun is not as rough the rest of it. I stippled the whole thing the same and then sanded the left side to where it was comfortable.

Did you ever try a Grip Pro? They are cheap and have always worked for me! We put them on then blend them into the grip, stipple and you would never know it was there.

Beaver tails are appealing enough to me that the new backstraps were the incentive I needed to finally trade my 23 in on a 23 (Gen 4). It exceeded my expectations. That pistol shoots like a 9mm.

Looks really good. I am lazy though and I just bought the grip force adapters for my guns. I think they were $20 for 2 and it was good enough that I don't get bit anymore. Glocks and big mitts don't work out so well.
