Honestly curious but his proposal was $5.7B for 200mi of additional wall. We could still get 25% of that value not 3%.
Unless you are personally talking about building out the entire border which is different. Currently there is 2000mi of border fencing out there? Is that 55mi 3% of whatever our total border is with Mexico? Or do you intend to build a border wall along the Canada border as well?

Trump learned quickly that if you solve an issue, then it no longer benefits him or his allies.
If Trump stopped immigration, made the 2A absolute, pulled out of NATO and the Mideast, rebuilt our infrastructure and figured out how to make healthcare reasonable... then, in spite of his amazing success, people wouldn't reward him with their votes but instead chase after the next shiny political up comer.
By stringing our issues out he can always run on them and you'll keep donating and supporting him.
