Looks like they are dropping a clip on device September 4th, does anyone have an info on it? I can't seem to find anything on it.

Get Access SubscribeFWIW guide already has a 1280 res clip on. My TB630LRF comes in this week for the price i got it for, not sure there would be a much better option in my budget currently. I just need someone to give me performance reminiscent of the Vodoo M for not 16-20k. Granted my experience with clip ons is very limited. I currently have a hydra and the guide as i said on the way. Nvision needs to release something about the damn halo-cI wonder if we will see 1280 resolution with this one. If so then maybe I'll hold off on buying a TB630LRF
I'm hopeful for the Nvision halo c or the iRay Hybrid Compact. Both should perform the same function as the Voodoo MX but at a fraction of the costFWIW guide already has a 1280 res clip on. One can certainly hope. If the new hybrid compact is indeed that (a hybrid) i'll be a little disappointed. I really want them to focus on clip ons. There is no shortage on the market of good dedicated thermal optics. Like seriously what once was a 10k product for a quality 640 unit can relatively be had for 3500 now. The same is not remotely true of clip ons. Anything that is of real conceivable use with magnification is north of 10k easy. Everything else seems like it's pushing it beyond 4x.I'm hopeful for the Nvision halo c or the iRay Hybrid Compact. I talked to Derek specifically about the TB630LRF cause in that 1250 review he mentions he loves that unit and it's good to 500yds, i'm assuming on steel. He sent me some videos of coyotes shot at 100 and 200 with a mk5 2-10. It looks good even through the scopecam. I'm mainly just looking for 300 and in. He said that's extremely doable. Based on what all i've seen and read trying to get really good PID and use out of thermal clip ons that aren't the mil stuff past say 400yds seems to be really pushing it.I'm super close to buying a TB630 lrf as well. I'm gonna wait a little bit though to see what this new clip on is like. 4MRRanch has a video on the TB630 but there's nothing else out there on it really in terms of reviews. Long Range Precision Shooters has a video on the Guide TB1250 and it does look quite good. He said he's working on a TB630 LRF video as well
I'm in the same boat. I bought a TA 651 and like it, but it starts to degrade a lot much over 4x magnification. I may skip out on this Nocpix and wait on the N-vision if it is decently priced.Yeah he said down in the comments below the video that he is working on one for the TB630. I'm looking at something for mostly 300 yards and in to put in front of a 1-10x and 3-18x. I'd absolutely love to have something like the Eotech ClipIR ELR or Trijicon UTC XII that can reach out further but I'm not sure I want to spend 15K+
Just my opinion but you'll probably want more than a 35mm unit in front of your 3-18. I've used a few 50mm units in front of my 3-18 and it's good but still wish it had more demagnificationYeah he said down in the comments below the video that he is working on one for the TB630. I don't hate the ability for it to be a dedicated scope because that's pretty easy to do (the Voodoo M does that too). What is interesting on that iRay unit is the onboard LRF with disturbed reticle (ballistics built in) and will be interesting to see how well they get it collimated from the factory (not holding my breath). The NVision almost certainly will be factory collimated which means you can expect to hit where you normally would regardless of what gun it's on.One can certainly hope. I'd take those internet videos with a grain of salt if they say no collimation needed. I'd bet they are either shooting generous targets or have a system that happens to play nice together. Now if someone can put a clip on in front of 3 different optics on 3 different guns and hit ~1.5MOA steel I'd say that is a property collimated opticI'm super close to buying a TB630 lrf as well.
