I just use a brass jag. load a patch with Sweet's and wipe the jag dry after it comes out of the barrel. Works fine and the jag is no worse for wear. I've done it for years.

Good luck, Erik </div></div>
+1, also Midway (and others) sell nickel plated and plastic jags.
Check our Boretech they have awesome nylon brushes and non brass jags. They are called proof positive jags. Have been using then for years and love them.
Been using Boretech's Eliminator and nylon brushes. I will have to order their proof positive jags on my next order. I run the Eliminator through a barrel that I used to use Sweets on and it brought out more copper. Made a believer out of me.
nothing wrong with using brass- you have to remember, brass is more resistant to chemicals than copper thanks to the different alloy. Brass jag cleaned off with hopes or any number of spray cleaners and a nylon bore brush.
