Just wanted to introduce myself.

Chad from the Terre Haute, IN area.
I shoot F open with a kelbly panda, brux barrel, jewell trigger, pr&t full adjust stock, and a nightforce br comp 12-42×56 in 284 win.
Rimfire postal leagues just cause i cant find any competitions in my area for precision rimfire. Hall rblp action, shilen barrel, shillen trigger, McMillan stock, harrell tuner, bkl 24 moa base, and weaver t36.
Also have a savage 12 6.5 creedmoor set up for f open and savage mark ii setup for comp for my 14 yo son to compete with.

Thank you in advance for the help I'm sure i will receive.

Look up Long Range Rimfire on Riley Conservation Club's website.

I think you're gonna be really happy you did.

You can shoot off a ruck just fine, but no rear bags. Bipods are fine, but nobody beats me because they have one...

I single feed, and it is a non issue with 30 seconds per shot.

Next match Wed the 8th...just show up with a backpack, ammo, and rifle.

So ill be fine with a 13# br rifle? Im pretty sure i am off work. I may not have my 24 moa base by then though. And im 32" from reaching zero at 200 yard.

Hey Chad, we shoot matches about 15 minutes West of you at a buddies house. I live just West of Indy but I travel down there to shoot. We can get out to about 1500 yards there. Shoot me a PM and we can chat.

Should be alright, just be careful with the toe of your stock on the concrete, or shoot the bench class (bench, but no rear bag). I've mostly used an Anschutz 54.18 MS-R McMillan, but have been considering taking the Harrell-tuned 23.5" Shilen R4 AR trainer down there. Both of those rifles are just over 10 lbs, so it's no biggie. The question is always whether I want the 3.8 oz trigger, or the 4.9 lb trigger. :)

What's your reticle? If you have any holdovers, that may work for 200, or if not, then you'll have to figure it out with an aiming point or two. It's workable with irons, really, if they'd agree to paint my targets black (not happenin).

Hey there Tazman. I’m a new member here at the hide. I was just searching for Indiana members and came across this post. You mentioned that there are matches at a buddy’s place. So is this private property but some kind of official match? Or private matches? That kind of distance is hard to find..

Nice! What are the matches? Also, do you know of any 1000y ranges for the public? I haven't been able to find one. Someone I used to work with said he thought there was only one in Indiana. Not sure if his info is accurate or not.

There are two 1000 yd. ranges that I know of near Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Young's long shots and Hill Side shooting complex. Both have a yearly fee. Young's is $300 I believe, and Hill Side is $250. Never been to Hill Side, but I go to Young's occasionally.

Sweet! This one is a lot closer for me. The site says new members are referred by existing members... Maybe if I just give the guy a call that will count LOL
Thanks!
