40 year old that is pretty new to hunting and precision shooting - hunted for first time since I lacked the patience as a teen 2 years ago, and got hooked pretty quick. Didn't want to keep borrowing my brother's .270 so I got a 6.5 Creedmoor and some training so I can try to get more out of it, so excited to see how this rifle season goes. Also picked up reloading and got the suppressor bug, so if anyone needs to buy a kidney I'll probably have to sell one soon :p

Looking forward to seeing what I can learn from the community and will be great having a place where people can find new homes for unused items without getting creative to get around filters.

Welcome Missouri!!! I warned someone earlier that this precision shooting bug can be contagious, addictive and expensive. Sounds like you figured out the expensive part of the equation. Don't forget, you can also recover from bone marrow and partial liver donation - LOL.

I’m a new guy also from Missouri with 6.5 Creedmoor. Who did you do long range training with?

I did a 0-500yd class with Freedom Center USA, a 1000 yard range in Lebanon, and figure I'll look at their 500-1000yd (especially for wind calling) next year. Seems their pricing is pretty fair, $180 for each 2 day course, much lower than an option I saw in Joplin to go to 1000+. No idea when the next one will be scheduled, he likes to have 4-6 shooters in a class. Looks like you're KC area, if you're looking for something up there I can check with a friend that's taken some training in the area and may have some ideas. I haven't looked around the forums on here for training yet to see if there may be some info that could help you, so may poke around and search. If I get to where I'm looking to really stretch it out I may see about a trip to Assymetric Solutions in Farmington, near StL. Believe they go to a mile.
